Marymount Sunday Fun Day: St. Patrick's Day Celebration

Sunday, March 14, 2021
3 p.m. ET
Zoom (link will be sent in confirmation email)

Did you know that the original color of St. Patrick's Day was blue? The color shifted to green as early as the 17th century because of Ireland’s “The Emerald Isle” nickname, the green in the Irish flag, and the color of shamrock. There are so many interesting facts to learn about this holiday.

Join fellow Fordham and Marymount alumni and storyteller Brian Nolan, from Galway, Ireland, for a discussion and Q&A about Saint Brigid, the female patron saint of Ireland. Hear from Patrick Breen, DJ of WFUV’s Ceol na nGael show, and listen to an interview with Mirella Murray, member of the Irish American supergroup Cherish the Ladies. There will also be some Irish trivia, music, and other fun planned throughout the program.

Grab a pint of Guinness, a cup of tea, or an Irish whiskey as we connect over Zoom for another Sunday fun day. Wear your green and show your spirit!

All are welcome to attend. Don't forget to spring your clocks ahead for daylight saving time!
