Zoom (link will be sent in confirmation email)

Please join Fordham University professor of education and psychobiographer, Joseph G. Ponterotto in an exploration into the life of John F. Kennedy, Jr. (JFK Jr.), a dynamic, charismatic, empathic, and complex young man whose life was cut tragically short at the age of 38 in a fatal plane crash in July, 1999.

Dr. Ponterotto, who spent five years researching the life of JFK Jr., explores his personality development, the impact of early trauma in his life, and his adventurous and risk-taking lifestyle.

Also explored are his relationship to his mother, Jacqueline, and sister, Caroline, his academic, law, and magazine careers, as well as his marriage and life with Carolyn Bessette Kennedy. Accumulated evidence indicates that around the time of his death, JFK Jr.  was considering entering politics. Could JFK Jr. have succeeded in the rough-and-tumble political arena? Would he eventually run for the N.Y Senate or the Governor’s Office? Might it have been him facing off against Donald J. Trump next month? These and other questions in JFK Jr.’s emotional life, professional journey, and family life are discussed.

Joseph G. Ponterotto has been a Professor of Counseling Psychology in the Graduate School of Education of Fordham University for over three decades. The author/editor of 14 books and author/coauthor of over 130 peer-reviewed academic articles, Dr. Ponterotto is an internationally recognized multicultural psychology researcher and psychobiographer.  He maintains a small psychotherapy private practice in NYC.

All attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a signed copy of Dr. Ponterotto's book, A Psychobiography of John F. Kennedy, Jr.: Understanding His Inner Life, Achievement, Struggles, and Courage
