Fordham Alumni and Friends Lenten Weekend Retreat

Friday, March 29, at 5 p.m., through Sunday, March 31, at 1 p.m.
Seminary of the Immaculate Conception
440 West Neck Road | Huntington, NY | 11743

Join us on this large, beautiful property on Long Island. This weekend retreat for alumni and friends will provide you with opportunities for prayer, the Holy Communion, the sacrament of reconciliation, reflection, meditation, discussion, and consultation with the retreat director.

The retreat theme is "Experiencing the Healing and Mercy of Jesus." During Lent the Church calls us to transformation, to remove obstacles and unhelpful habits in order to draw closer to Jesus. Our focus will be on how the present is the propitious time to draw closer to Christ the Divine Healer and, with His grace, to have our eyes, ears, minds, and hearts further opened to His call.

Our retreat director, Brendan R. Horan, S.J., teaches in Fordham's political science department. He earned law degrees at Oxford and Yale. He previously taught at Loyola University Chicago, and he was a member of the founding faculty at Loyola College in Abuja, Nigeria. An experienced retreat master, he has often directed eight-day retreats and formation retreats for religious communities.

This event costs $180 per person for singles. Married couples will pay $254 for double occupancy. Registration includes accommodations and all meals.

Parking is behind the building in the visitor lots accessible from the first driveway.

Registration will close on Friday, March 22.
