A Lenten Read-Along 2022 with Fr. Damian O’Connell, S.J., Alumni Chaplain

Interested alums are invited to join in a shared Lenten reading of and prayerful reflection on the short, powerful musing entitled: Poverty of Spirit by Johannes Baptist Metz (inclusive language edition from Paulist Press).

We will meet on Zoom for about an hour at 8 p.m. EST on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday (March 1), and at the same time on every Tuesday up to and including April 12. Questions for reflection will be sent out before our meetings.

Expectations:

  • Having the book and a Bible
  • Reading the assigned pages
  • Reflecting on the questions before the sessions
  • A willingness to share your reflections
  • Letting your reflections shape your prayer during the intervening week
