Alvin Ailey at New York City Center
131 West 55th Street
New York, NY 10019

In 1958, Alvin Ailey founded his pioneering dance company to carry out his vision of weaving African American themes into modern choreography, making an immeasurable impact on the world of dance.

Today, Alvin Ailey Dance Company is a cherished cultural treasure, and for nearly 25 years, Fordham University’s joint Ailey/BFA in Dance program has contributed to the tradition by educating the next generation of pioneering dancers.

On Tuesday, December 13, join us for a special evening in the landmark New York City Center to toast the partnership and enjoy an Ailey performance. Fordham attendees are invited to a private, pre-performance reception in the Grand Tier with special guests, including Ailey principal dancer and graduate of the Ailey/Fordham program, Courtney Celeste Spears, FCLC '16, followed by a program of favorites, including Blues Suite, Reflection in D, Cry, and Ailey’s original masterpiece, Revelations.
